Off the field\, our players are educators\, police officers\, athletic trainers\, EMTs\, paralegals\, business owners\, and more.  They are moms\, spouses\, partners\, and siblings.  They come from various backgrounds\, cultures\, and places to step on the gridiron as family.   \nCome check us out at Papillion La Vista South Football Field at 6pm!

SUMMARY:Red & Wild Drag Show
DESCRIPTION:Winnebago Two-Spirit will be hosting “Red and Wild\,” the first drag show to ever occur on Winnebago tribal lands. In the Ho-Chunk language\, the word for strawberry is hascek\, which literally translates to “first fruit.” After a long hard winter\, strawberries are the first to bloom and bear fresh fruit for harvest. For this reason\, many tribes see strawberries as a symbol of hope and rebirth. In the wake of Nebraska’s anti-trans and anti-drag show legislation\, it is a powerful act of Tribal Sovereignty to celebrate Two-Spirit people who have always been here. These colonial forces once again seek to discriminate against Indigenous gender identities. Just like strawberries\, Two-Spirit/LGBTQ+ people are bright\, bold\, and sweet: a symbol of hope in their sacred existence. \nShowtime is 7:00 pm at the Land of Wellness.
