Join the 2026 Heartland Pride Parade in Omaha
The Heartland Pride Parade is a celebration of LGBTQIA+ visibility, community pride, and collective joy. Each year, parade participants help create a welcoming public celebration that brings together local organizations, businesses, performers, families, friends, and allies.
Participating in the parade is a way to show support for Heartland Pride’s mission of inclusion, equality, accessibility, celebration, and belonging. From decorated vehicles and walking groups to performers and community organizations, every registered group helps make the parade a vibrant and affirming experience for Omaha and the surrounding region.

Applications are now open for organizations and groups interested in participating in the 2026 Heartland Pride Parade.
Registration deadline: Applications must be submitted by June 6, 2026 at 11:00 PM Central Time.
Final lineup details, staging instructions, and route information will be shared with registered participants at least one week before the parade.
Participation Pricing
Participation fees help support parade operations, including event safety, logistics, promotion, and coordination.

Reduced participation pricing is available for nonprofit organizations joining the parade. - For-Profit Organizations & Political Candidates — $410
This participation rate applies to businesses, for-profit organizations, and political candidates.
Parade Day Information
To help create a smooth, safe, and welcoming parade experience, participating groups should plan ahead and arrive on time for staging.
- Staging access begins: Approximately 8:30 AM
- Groups must be in assigned staging area by: 9:45 AM
- Parade begins: 10:00 AM
- Setup and cleanup: Groups are responsible for their own setup and cleanup
Please follow directions from Heartland Pride staff, volunteers, public safety officials, and local law enforcement throughout the event.
Parade Route Updates
The official 2026 Heartland Pride Parade route is currently being finalized in coordination with the City of Omaha.
Route details and staging information will be published as soon as they are confirmed. Registered participants will receive final lineup details, staging instructions, and route information at least one week before the parade.
Accessibility, Inclusion, and Safety
Heartland Pride is committed to creating Pride events that are welcoming, inclusive, and community-centered. The Heartland Pride Parade is for LGBTQIA+ people, families, friends, neighbors, and allies who want to celebrate Pride in a respectful and affirming environment.
To help support a safe and welcoming celebration for participants and attendees:
- Strobe lights are not permitted
- Alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited during staging and along the parade route
- Items should be handed directly to attendees or gently distributed rather than thrown into crowds
- Animals are welcome if they are comfortable in large public settings and remain supervised at all times
- Vehicle operators must carry valid licensing and insurance
Heartland Pride reserves the right to address participation concerns that may impact safety or the attendee experience.
